criminal solicitors advice on the burner

importation solicitors

What is a Burner ?

Seriously ?  Get out of here.  Get yourself on to another website, as you are obviously in the wrong place.  We recommend you try this .

Please tell me what a Burner is.

A Burner, is essentially a disposable  phone - so termed because you don't mind burning it !

Police are familiar with burners as they feature heavily in drugs offences and are the  tool  of communication for most drug deals.  The occupational hazard for drug dealers is that the burner is the favored go to tool for the police to demonstrate possession of drugs with intent to supply or being concerned in the supply of drugs or supplying drugs.

What kind of evidence will the police be looking for on a burner phone

No expertise or "specialist drugs solicitors" required for this one.

The Call Out

Where a drugs line is active, there will typically be a "call out" by way of a bulk text to known users.  This call out will typically alert users as to what is available and a price:

"About all day silver bubble 3.5 30 "

In this message the dealer is letting potential customers  or users know that they are active and available throughout the day.  'Silver Bubble' is selling at 3.5 grams for £30.  If you don't know what silver bubble this might be more your thing - go here.

Text message Exchanges

In a lot of instances, buyers or users, will haggle over the drugs:

"I normally get 7g 4 40"

The message exchanges will be used as evidence of drug dealing.

Contact Numbers

Burners will have the numbers of users, which in the hands of the intelligent will be used to build a set of witnesses who may give evidence as to who they have bought drugs from.

Call History

Believe it or not, some dealers make the cardinal mistake of calling friends or family using the Burner.  The fact that the call history shows that a burners was used to call aunty Mavis and Kantaben is going to take some explaining. Even worse, is trying to explain why your solicitors number is on the call history of a burner phone - or is it the case that your solicitor has some explaining to do....

criminal solicitors advice on drug valuations

drugs defence

Why are drug valuations important

If you are unlucky enough to be facing prosecution for possession with intent to supply drugs, being concerned in the supply of drugs or supplying drugs, then the value of the drugs that the police say you are involved in, will have a major impact.  The sentencing guidelines for drugs offences refers to the level of purity as an aggravating feature in sentencing.  Purity is directly relevant to value.

Challenging the valuation

In most prosecutions, the police will have provided an opinion on the "street value" of the drugs in question.  In most cases, they will provide a range and that range will usually be reflective of Toxteth - Mayfair.  It is important to challenge the valuation at an early stage as this may have an impact on sentence in the short term and on confiscation proceedings later on under the proceeds of crime act.

Edibles & gummies

defence drugs class a

What is CBD and what does it stand for ?

CBD is the abbreviation of cannabidiol. It is one of the prevalent active ingredients of cannabis. It is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant.   CBD is not psychoactive. In other words, it's not what gets you stoned.

What are Gummies / Edibles ?

Most people will not like the taste of CBD oil.  After all, its an Oil !  Here comes the sweets that contain (or should) just the right amount of (legal) CBD.

Typically, an individual gummy will contain 25 mg of CBD per individual gummy bear.

Are Gummies /Edibles Legal in the UK?

Whilst CBD is a legal substance in the UK, it does come from the cannabis plant, which is illegal.  There are various types of the cannabis plant, including marijuana and hemp. While marijuana is strictly prohibited, hemp is legal to grow under license and therefore can be used in numerous products for sale.

The reason for this difference in classification is that hemp contains less than 0.3 % THC by dry weight, while marijuana can contain up to 30%. THC is the compound that gets you high.

By using hemp to create products, UK CBD sellers can ensure that their CBD gummies contain a maximum of 0.2% THC – this is the legal limit here, so as long as companies abide by this, the products are legal.

Basically, as long as there is less than 0.2% THC in the gummies, they are perfectly legal!

Production of CBD Gummies

It is possible to make your own CBD gummies if you buy CBD oil. Again, this is perfectly legal to do, just as long as the CBD oil you buy is within the UK guidelines.

Cannabis Gummies

Illegal.

Possession with intent to supply Gummies

If you are selling Gummies within the legal limits - no problem.  Problems can arise when you are in possession of Gummies that contain too much THC and are therefore illegal.  Any good criminal solicitors will advise you that the fact that you didn't know how much THC was in the gummie would not be a defence.
